Oh my goodness. I almost don’t have enough words to say how much I love this pair. Ever since Kait had first emailed me back in August last year, I knew they were going to be another amazing JFL couple… sure, it might have had something to do with the fact that they are major foodies – but I think it was more to do with the love they share and how easy going & lovely they both are! Needless to say, I was super excited to photograph their Wedding Day last Saturday… which exceeded all of my expectations.
You guys, thank you for making Nick & I feel so very welcome… it’s been SO amazing getting to know you both over the last year and to document your Wedding last weekend really was the cherry on top! I hope you’re having the best honeymoon in Bali and I can’t wait to show you more when you guys get back! Have a cocktail for me! Lots of love, K xx
Here is a glimpse into their Wedding Day story:
Kait’s morning was spent surrounded by a group of beautiful women that mean so much to her, including her lovely bridesmaids (Jordan, Katie, Steph & Danica), her mum Tricia and her grandmother Dotti. I started photographing all of her wedding day details, while the ladies finished being pampered by the talented hair & makeup team…
This stunning succulent was a part of Kait’s gorgeous bouquet – I just had to use it for a photo of her Engagement Ring (which may I add was created using diamonds from both her Grandma & Nanna – how very special!) Are you starting to see why I love these guys so much?!
Before long it was time for Kait to get dressed into her stunning Anna Campbell Bridal Gown… and some final touches before heading to her Wedding Ceremony!
BRISBANE WEDDING CEREMONY VENUE: BROADWAY CHAPEL
Tim & Kait decided to hold their Wedding Ceremony at Broadway Chapel in Woolloongabba, here in Brisbane. With close to 150 guests, it was a tight fit – but everyone used it as an excuse to make new friends and meet others that they didn’t know before! I love that.
… and just like that, Tim & Kait are husband & wife!!
Whilst the guests were mingling with bubbles in the courtyard of the Church, I stole the newlyweds back inside to use those gorgeous stairs & the grounds for a few intimate bridal portraits. I love this time after a Ceremony, when my couples get to spend some time together to reflect on the fact that they are now married! On a day that goes by fast, I honestly think this time is oh so important!
Aren’t they just the cutest!
Of course, we got the bridal party involved as well! With a bridal party looking as gorgeous as these guys did – they made our job way too easy…
BRISBANE WEDDING RECEPTION VENUE: LIGHTSPACE, FORTITUDE VALLEY
As the sun set on their Wedding Day, the finishing touches were being done to their Wedding Reception at Lightspace… almost ready for Kait & Tim to party long into the night with their friends & family!
AV Ideas did an amazing job with the lighting for their Reception… I just adore those hanging installations!
After their formal entrance, it was time for some heartfelt speeches, cake cutting, a first dance like no other (honestly, talk about bridal party goals – the entire bridal party choreographed a dance together – incredible!) and then the dancing continued long into the night…
Congratulations again Tim & Kait! I’m so excited to see what married life holds for you both!
