I love how life brings people across your path for a reason… it might be a chance meeting or one that’s destined to change the course of your life forever. From the moment Bonnie & Greg’s paths crossed on Tinder – their life was destined to be intertwined, first by dating and now as husband & wife. Thank you Tinder!
I am also so grateful that I had a chance encounter with the lovely Bonnie a few years ago, meeting her through one of my closest friends Hannah (who is also a crazy talented wedding planner & stylist at HT Events) at a charity fundraiser. From the moment I met her, I could tell how caring, how sweet and how generous she was – so when she got in touch a little while later to let me know that she’d just gotten engaged to the love of her life Greg, I was SO excited for them! Then when she asked me to photograph their wedding day in Warwick, I could hardly contain myself!
Here’s a peek into their beautiful Wedding Day story:
Bonnie got ready at her family home, surrounded by those she loves most in the world – her lovely family, closest friends and fur babies. I got started by photographing her stunning wedding day details – I must admit, being a winter wedding, I just adored all the pops of red…
Before we knew it, it was time for the gorgeous bride to get into her stunning custom made gown, with the help of her lovely mum Clare…
Just look at that incredible beaded Russian headpiece! Sourced by Greg’s mum for Bonnie – this made it even more special. p.s That is also her grandmothers mirror in the photo below, this honestly gives me all the feels.
WEDDING CEREMONY VENUE: ST MARY’S PARISH, WARWICK
Greg & Bonnie chose to get married in Bonnie’s family church, St Mary’s Parish in Warwick… it is such a grand building and the perfect winter day made it even more beautiful. There really wasn’t a cloud in sight!
The moment everyone has been waiting for, especially Greg…
Introducing Mr & Mrs Gutkin!
After a beautiful ceremony, it was time for some photos with the newlyweds and their lovely bridal party… we were so lucky to have access to a wonderful private property for their photos (thank you again Louise & Lynton!)
In the lead up to a wedding day, I always ask my couples what they love most about each other – I find it helps me get to know them both as a couple. Plus, being a romantic myself, I just love all the warm & fuzzy feelings it gives me!
When I asked Bonnie, she shared:
“I love his gentle, caring nature and how incredibly intelligent he is. He always makes me feel safe & supported. He has more faith in me than anyone else, which encourages me to try harder in every aspect of my life. He is an incredibly passionate and driven person who throws his heart and soul into anything he sets his mind to. He also has strong family values, which is very important to me because I consider my family to be the most important part of my life.”
Greg’s answer was equally as beautiful:
” Bonnie is ambitious, intelligent and very caring. Bonnie has an inviting charm about her that makes me feel like she is my best friend and romantic lover at the same time. If I have an issue with anything, I value her input first because she is someone I trust the most. Bonnie’s passions in life is similar to mine, and as I discover more about her the further I fall in love with her. Her strong family values are the things that bring us closer together. She is the one. “
As the sun started to set, I stole Bonnie & Greg for a couple of photos with the last of the golden light, before it was time to head back into town for their Wedding Reception!
WEDDING RECEPTION VENUE: WARWICK TOWN HALL
As the bridal party made their way back into Warwick, the final touches were being put on the hall for their Reception. When Bonnie had told me that they were holding their Reception in the town hall, I had no idea how striking it would be – I especially loved the U shape of the tables, allowing all the guests to see each other and most importantly, have access to the dance floor!
After the newly married couple made their entrance, it was time for some heartfelt speeches, tears, laughter and lots of vodka and dancing (I mean, when the Groom’s family is Russian, Vodka is a non negotiable!)
Greg & Bonnie, thank you for choosing me. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for being two of the most amazing people I know and one of the best JFL couples yet! I have so much love for you both – and I wish you nothing but the best for your future together. Lots of love, Kylie x
I’d love to hear what you think – leave me a comment below (it honestly will make my day!) and I’m sure the newlyweds would appreciate some kind words to:
