In this modern day world, I adore how connected we all are. I love that a couple that are living in New Zealand can discover my work and together we can start a relationship, full of trust – leading up to their Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove wedding day here on the Gold Coast. You might have guessed, but that’s exactly what happened with Brock & Natalie! We emailed, we skyped, we met in person for the first time a few days before the wedding… and then, all of a sudden their big day was here! Travelling over from Auckland in New Zealand, their wedding was one of immense joy & celebration with most of their guests also travelling from around the globe for their Wedding.
Natalie & Brock, thank you. Thank you for trusting us to document your first day as husband & wife. It was better than I could have even imagined – and I can’t wait to show you more!
Here’s a glimpse into their stunning Gold Coast Wedding Day story:
September in Queensland is THE BEST time to get married. As Brock & Natalie witnessed, the temperature is warm (but not too hot) and there’s rarely a single cloud in the sky! On the morning of their Wedding Day, I started photographing Natalie’s details while Nick was spending some time with Brock & his groomsmen! I must admit, I always shotgun the bride as I just adore capturing all of her beautiful details – and Natalie’s were no exception!
We always make time for some champagne photos before anyone needs to get dressed as well – why? Because from my experience, once that Wedding Dress is slipped on – the rest of the day seems to speed up! It’s moments like this that need to be taken & savoured!
Natalie had chosen the most stunning Karen Willis Holmes wedding gown… that lace took my breath away!
As 2pm approached, it was time to make our way to the chapel at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove! It was our first time photographing a wedding there and I must admit, we’re now quite smitten with this venue… it’s not only beautiful and makes the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos, but the wedding coordinator David is amazing and ensures everything runs so super smoothly! He is honestly worth his weight in gold! Thanks for everything David!
Here she comes – I just adore this moment…
Introducing Mr & Mrs Coulter!!
After a wonderful ceremony by Annie from Annie Grace Ceremonies (another vendor I’d HIGHLY recommend – this wedding sure did have the a team on board!) it was time for some bridal portraits! I took the newlyweds back to the chapel for a few portraits once it was empty… those glass panels made the most striking backdrop!
We then explored through the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove together, stopping at the marina for some photos by the water with their bridal party…
I LOVE this courtyard and thought it made for some beautiful romantic photos with the bride & groom before the sun set… isn’t it just stunning!
Meanwhile the finishing touches were being put on their Wedding Reception in The Grange at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove… with exposed wooden beams, a candlelit fireplace and striking chandelier, this room makes quite the impression! You should have heard the guests oohing & aaahing as they entered!
After Mr & Mrs Coulter had entered, it was time for some heartfelt speeches, good food, cake cutting and a first dance to rival all firsts dances! Natalie & Brock then joined their guests on the dancefloor long into the night, the perfect end to a perfect day…
