Most of you don’t know this, but I studied to be a teacher before I was a photographer. It almost feels like another life. I tried to finish my Bachelor of Education not once, not twice – but four times. Yep, that’s not a typo. Through that experience I learnt a couple of things… I learnt that not only do I not give up easily (read, I am really stubborn when I start something) but I also learnt that when something isn’t meant to be, you just can’t force it to happen. So, here I am years later – passionate about what I do everyday and more than happy to leave teaching to the amazing men & women that did finish their degree and love what they do. Two such people being Matt & his gorgeous fiance Ashleigh. A few months ago, I was lucky enough to meet them out at the stunning Kooroomba Lavender Farm… we got to know each other even more, laughing and exploring together – whilst getting them super comfortable in front of the camera.
Here’s a glimpse into our afternoon together:
These two are just the sweetest… I loved hearing about their love story and how they first met at a friends party when they were only 17! Matt left a lasting impression that night after elbowing Ash in the nose, busting a move on the dancefloor – but those moves must have been pretty darn good as they lead to a first kiss being shared later that night. Perhaps it was all part of your plan hey, Matt?!
As the sun started to soften, we made our way to the Lavender fields at the back of the property… and being that we were celebrating their Engagement, it was only fitting that a bottle of bubbly be popped!
Matt & Ash, I’m SO super excited about your Wedding Day tomorrow… here’s to the start of your new adventures together as husband & wife!
Wish them well in the comments below you guys & send them some good wedding vibes – I know they’d appreciate it!
