Mitch & Courtney held their wedding at the gorgeous Sirromet Winery, at Mount Cotton – and just 3o minutes outside of Brisbane . This was my first Sirromet Winery wedding and wow, was I impressed! I think living near the Hunter Valley for years spoilt me as to how amazing a winery can be, so after moving back to Brisbane I didn’t think anywhere would come close to the Hunter Valley. Boy, was I wrong! Sirromet Winery is surrounded by rolling vines and breathtaking scenery – with so many opportunities for incredible Wedding Day photos! Needless to say, I was incredibly happy to find myself at Mitch & Courtney’s Wedding at Sirromet! The rain clouds may have been out, but there was nothing getting in their way of an amazing celebration!
Here’s a sneak peek into their Wedding Day story:
It all started at Courtney’s parents house on the morning of her Wedding Day. All the girls seemed super calm & collected – enjoying the pampering and quality time with each other as they got ready for Mitch & Courtney’s Wedding Day! p.s how amazing are her details… those Givenchy shoes and florals – I was head over heels in love!
After getting dressed into her stunning Karen Willis Holmes gown (that had a removable overlay for the Reception – practical and beautiful – love!) it was time to make their way to the Laguna at Sirromet Winery for their Wedding Ceremony. Like the name suggests, this location overlooks a natural lagoon and is surrounded by bushland – making it an intimate & beautiful Ceremony spot (not to mention it’s undercover – so it doubles as a wet weather plan too!!)
Bridal Portraits at Sirromet always includes some photos in the vines – I mean, why else have your wedding at a vineyard! Mitch & Courtney embraced the rain, which in my opinion only made their photos more romantic!
… because every girl needs to twirl in her Wedding Dress!
Before long, it was time for their Reception in the Barrel Hall at Sirromet… my goodness, this Barrel Room reminds me of many vineyards in the Hunter Valley… only it was bought to life by Julie Vine Flowers & styling! You should have heard all the guests gasping as they made their way into the room – it sure did take their (and my) breath away!
The night was filled with heartfelt speeches, the eating of good food and everyone enjoying each others company! The Barrel Hall’s dancefloor started to fill and soon, not one guest was left seated. The sign of an incredible Wedding Day and a celebration of two wonderful people! Congratulations again Mitch & Courtney!
