Rebecca and her girls had been planning this night out all week long… it was a night that had big expectations, expectations that included lots and lots of dancing! What Rebecca didn’t count on though, as they rocked on in to the local Wellington club, Maya… was meeting the man she was going to marry. After catching each others eye across the dance floor, the first move was made and Kile & Rebecca spent the rest of the night, in each others arms, dancing the night away. When it came time to leave, Kile asked for Rebecca’s number, only to discover his phone was flat and he didn’t have a pen. Proclaiming a great memory when it matters, Kile memorised her number and they reluctantly parted ways. Much to Rebecca’s surprise the next morning, sure enough, her phone beeped with a text message from Kile, he was in church with his family but he was dreaming of the girl that stole his heart.

That was 2007. Fast forward to 2015, this gorgeous couple became husband and wife in the stunning Garden Route Game Lodge, Albertinia in South Africa… the wedding celebrations began on the Friday night as they welcomed all their friends and family as guests to this stunning game lodge and we were there to document it all from the start!

A huge thanks to the following vendors that made Kile & Rebecca’s wedding day as such a special & beautiful day:

Bridesmaid Dresses: Made With Love Bridal

Wedding Film: Vision On Fire

Hair Stylist: Vat Dit Kop Toe Hair Boutique

Florist: Lush Flowers

Venue: Garden Route Game Lodge, Albertinia

What a perfect wedding venue Garden Route Game Lodge was! From the moment we arrived, we seriously had to keep pinching ourselves that this was real life… as the venue was made even more perfect by the bride’s keen eye for detail – Rebecca organising florals to be placed throughout the whole lodge – only adding to the celebratory atmosphere!

After everyone had checked in and with ciders in hand, we all assembled for our very first game drive! Being a privately owned game park, the drivers are all quite aware of the animals movements and so could guarantee us to see Giraffe, Elephant, Loin, Antelope and even Cheetah if we were lucky… if you want to see more from the game drive, click here!

I could hardly believe it when we had a visitor that morning come trotting up the path, one of the baby Giraffe (that was anything but little!)… only in Africa!

Meanwhile, Kile & his groomsmen were getting ready in one of the bush chalet’s overlooking the waterhole…

A quick group photo with the new Mr & Mrs before, we snuck off into the game reserve for some bridal portraits!!

Mekyla from TOPSHELF Wedding & Events created an amazing space in the Serengetis Restaurant at the Garden Route Game Lodge for their Wedding Reception. The lighting added so much elegance to the wedding venue, with it taking everyone’s breath away as they entered! Just perfect!

Kile & Rebecca, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have met you both and not only to be able to photograph your wedding in South Africa, but to now count you both as friends! I cannot wait to see what amazing things are in store for your future and look forward to the reunion with all the gang in NZ next year! Much love, Nick & Kylie xx
