Proposals happen everywhere. They happen in private, in public, whilst travelling or snuggling at home. I hear so many proposal stories from my gorgeous JFL couples, but when Tara mentioned that Sam planned an amazing dinner at their favourite restaurant but then proposed in the car park, away from onlookers – my heart melted. I also don’t like being centre of attention, so I think a private proposal sounds pretty darn perfect! Nick & I have loved getting to know these two over the last 12 months – from our first coffee date with them to their adventurous outdoor engagement session, it’s been clear that these two were not only meant to be together but were in for a fun married adventure as husband & wife (which all started with their honeymoon in America!)
Sam & Tara were married last month in an intimate celebration, surrounded by their closest friends and family and of course their little fur baby Louis… Gosh, it really was a blast! Here’s a glimpse into their Wedding Day story:
BRISBANE WEDDING VENUE: STAMFORD PLAZA HOTEL
Tara & Sam chose to get married at the Stamford Plaza, a gorgeous riverside venue here in Brisbane… the Ceremony overlooked the water, whilst their Reception was held in their main ballroom. A stunning wedding for a stunning couple… on what was a perfect Brisbane summer’s day!
JFL Bride Tara had some of the most gorgeous details – I am a huge LOVER of anything Badgley Mischka… and two of the cutest flowergirls!
Before long it was time for their riverside Ceremony…. and for these two to become husband & wife!
Those first look feels… oh how I adore them. This is why you need two photographers for your Wedding Day!
Introducing Mr & Mrs Yarrow!
After a beautiful Ceremony (and a few family photos with Louis!), we walked down to the botanical gardens for their Bridal Portraits! There are some stunning spots in the gardens, including Fig Tree Lane…
Gosh, Tara you sure did make a stunning JFL Bride! That When Freddie Met Lilly dress was just stunning – and that bouquet! Just perfect my love!
As the summer storm clouds started to roll in, we took advantage of the moody skies for some final portraits outside and then headed back to the Stamford Plaza for some portraits on their stunning staircase…
Meanwhile, the finishing touches were being put on the ballroom for their incredible Wedding Reception…
and then it was time to get the party started! There were speeches, toasts, cake cutting (how amazing is that cake!!) and plenty of dancing the night away!
