TOOWOOMBA COUNTRY WEDDING: G&J

George and Jenna walked separate paths… intersecting at various moments until they stopped traversing in circles around each other, but fell in step with each other. Some might say, it was ordained. Others might say, it was just perfect timing. Either way, their wedding day brimmed with anticipation and excitement for these two amazing people to say I do. Friends and family filled their hearts with overflowing love and joy, making this perfect day on the family farm, even better.

George & Jenna. Thank you. Documenting your love, as well as your first day as husband & wife, was better than I could have imagined. I smiled until my cheeks were sore from smiling, laughed until my stomach muscles hurt and documented as many moments on the day as this gal could… It was a day I’ll always remember fondly xx

George & Jenna’s ceremony was held under a majestic tree on Jenna’s grandparents farm. The tree had once been hit by lightening but, thanks to the pleading of little Jenna all those years ago, was never cut down… and it made such a perfect backdrop!

After the midday ceremony, George & Jenna invited everyone back down to their lunchtime soiree, held in the barn at the back of the property… George & Jenna love finding old treasures and often spend their weekends picking at garage sales, on the search for pieces that they can add to their eclectic collection. It was only fitting that the barn decor represent who they are and what they love!

As the afternoon light softened, I stole the bride & groom away for some golden hour portraits, just before sunset. Not only is this the best time of the day for the bridal portraits, it also allows the newlyweds to have some time alone, just the two of them… away from their friends & family, to soak in the day – the day that they have become husband and wife.

I love the trust my couples have in me… even when I suggest things like standing on a hay bale. Jenna’s lovely dad organised for the hay bale to be moved into the right position for us… and I think you’ll agree, it was totally worth it!!

As the sun set that day, the celebration continued… Mr & Mrs James – now husband & wife, celebrating with their closest friends & family. That’s what a wedding day is all about!
