I love engagement sessions…
There is seriously nothing more fun than hanging out with two people smitten about each other, that are planning to spend the rest of their lives by each others side. George & Jenna were two such people! Here are some frames from their engagement session out at The Jondaryan Woolshed near Toowoomba on a beautiful Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago… I can hardly wait for their wedding next month!
I view every engagement session like a mainstream shoot – complete with models, props and scenery. I want every engagement shoot to look like it could be in a magazine, so I was excited when George & Jenna brought along a car full of props to choose from! They love hunting for vintage finds together and learning the stories behind each item that they find… so I was more than happy to include them in their engagement shoot! Aren’t they just amazing, especially set up for a picnic by the river!!
George proposed to Jenna with their stunning engagement ring displayed in this amazing floral vintage box, apparently it was originally owned by a MASH soldier! How amazing is that!
I am always pushing myself to be creative and create images that are unique to each couple when I photograph them, here for George & Jenna, I played with shooting through some of those yellow florals (holding them quite close to the lens) and look how it turned out! Perfect for their summer engagement session and just adding a little something to their images I think!
