You guys, this post is extra special to me… You see, I adore all my couples, I really do – but this is my little sister, Rebecca and her fiance Tom that I photographed last year at the Toowoomba Railway Station. I’m not sure whether this post is easier or harder to write for me – it’s easy in one way because she’s my sister but it’s also a lot harder as I have a lifetime of things I could write about her! You see my dilemma?! I do have to share that I just loved spending time with these two for their Engagement Session (which was a little gift from me when they first got engaged – everyone needs photos to celebrate this time in their lives, don’t you agree!) I must admit, it was a little strange at first to teach my sister & Tom how to kiss in slow motion (the trick to nailing those kissing shots) but they totally rocked it and we ended up having a total blast together – I just love the photos with the smoke, don’t they just add a gorgeous dose of romance!!
Rebecca & Tom are getting married in a couple of days at Preston Peak Wines in Toowoomba and I’m pretty darn excited to be a part of their day – not as their photographer, but as a bridesmaid – or ‘bridesmaid-zilla’ some might say (but yes, I still might bring my camera along! I’m not sure I could resist haha) I can’t wait to share with you how their day unfolds and perhaps share some sneaky behind the scenes photos… pregnant bridesmaid belly and all!
Here’s a sneak peek into the fun we had together that afternoon:
They totally rocked it – I cannot wait to see what their wedding photos look like! I must say, I wish I had developed the talent my sister has at wearing ridiculously high heels… I think she would give Carrie Bradshaw a run for her money down the streets of New York!
… and of course when you’re heavily involved in the wedding industry, you have to give your sister advice on the must haves for her big day – and details are so my thing! I LOVE that she listened and bought a gorgeous Mrs Box for her Engagement Ring to shine from, even monogrammed with her new surname initial “M” – and hey, it doubles as her ‘something blue’ as well. Winning!
