From the minute I met Craig & Rachel I knew that they were my type of people… Rachel ran up to me and embraced me like an old friend, before we chatted about their wedding plans over a glass of wine whilst I got to know them better & better. I learnt about how Craig finally had proposed after 6 years of dating (the finally was from Rach), whilst watching The Bachelor. I watched Craig smile softly as his eyes caught Rachel’s, I saw her face light up at the mention of his name. These two – have a love that you can not only see, but you can feel – and I was lucky to experience this, along with all of their family & friends at their Victoria Park Wedding, which was a perfect spring day here in Brisbane!
Craig & Rachel, thank you again for trusting us to document your Wedding Day – we loved every minute of it and felt honoured to be a part of such a special day. Here’s to an amazing future as husband & wife!! Love, Nick & Kylie.
Here’s a glimpse into their Wedding Day story:
The morning started for Rach at her parents house in Southbank… spending time with her bridesmaids, sister & parents. Everyone was relaxed, enjoying each others company and sipping on champagne – exactly how the morning of your wedding day should be I think. Check out her beautiful details, not to mention the her stunning White Lily Couture gown!
I LOVE doing a little reveal with my brides once their dressed. In this instance, Rach’s mum helped her get dressed in her beautiful gown so then she could surprise her bridesmaids with a first look. I mean, just look at their faces – this is a moment that shouldn’t be missed!
On the way down to the Limo, we stopped in the foyer to take advantage of this gorgeous curved wall. Rachel’s sister is a photographer as well (click here to see some of her incredible work), so I loved hearing about her favourite spots – this being one of them (for good reason!) We also had time for a quick stop at Doughnut Time… every bride’s dream!
Craig & Rachel chose to host their Wedding at the stunning Victoria Park Wedding Venue, here in Brisbane… without a cloud in the sky, it was a perfect October day!
After a beautiful personal Ceremony, officiated by the lovely Celebrant Annie from Annie Grace Ceremonies – we grabbed the bridal party for some photo fun – and these guys were all naturals! Talk about laugh – Craig & Rach certainly surround themselves with some great people…
A few weeks before the Wedding, I asked these two what they loved most about each other…
Rach, what do you love most about Craig?
I love how hairy Craig is, how pale his skin is – and how he makes me laugh & laugh. He’s so funny and I know our life together is going to be full of laughter and fun times!
Craig, what do you love most about Rach?
I love how big Rach’s heart is… she is so caring, not just for me but for everyone around her – and she’s a really good listener. I love that!
We finished the portraits with the last of the setting sun, while the guests were seated at the Reception – ready to celebrate with the newlyweds…
Rach led Craig through to their seats and the party began! The night was full of heartfelt speeches, cake cutting…
a romantic first dance – which opened the dance floor up to some crazy (awesome) dance moves. Their dance floor was certainly pumping!
Before we left, we stole the newlyweds away for a quick night photo – the lights of Brisbane City glistening in the background… a beautiful end to a beautiful day!
